Austin Ackert

Austin Ackert is an Arizona-based artist whose unique style evokes a psychedelic trip through a punk rock print shop, with influences from Ed Roth’s “Rat Fink'', to Jhonen Vasquez’s “Johnny the Homicidal Maniac”. Austin’s sketches and comics have appeared in some of the industry’s biggest underground zines, including Wizerd Megazine, published by CosmicLion Productions, Spread Love Zine, and the Cartoonist Kayfabe Ringside Seats.

His work has also been featured in Jim Mahfood’s Grrl Scouts Stone Ghost, and he has done pencils and inks for the Adventures of Gabe’s Cave series from Aequitas Comics. Austin’s self-published book, Carmine Sunshine, is available through his own label, Odd Vomit Comics.
