Starlit Memory Cosplay is an award-winning cosplayer who has been attending, competing and teaching at cons for the last 9 years. She is well known for historical and original designs, though enjoys a good re-creation any day to challenge the brain because trying to match animated costume seams is always a good puzzle at 2 am on the craft room floor. Starlit Memory specializes in historical creations and enjoys blending pop culture characters with their time periods, creating one of a kind original costume mashups. Cosplay has opened many doors to new crafting techniques for her, always pushing herself to try using authentic materials to immerse her costumes into reality. As a result, she’s gotten to learn leather and wood working, shoe making, bobbin lace, pattern drafting, embroidery and so much more. While still learning, she enjoys wig styling, foam work and 3D printing, though still in the trial-and-error phase with them! She enjoys sharing and teaching skills and knowledge with others, whether at her panels, or backstage for the masquerade, giving tips and easing nerves of first time and longtime competitors, and herself. She finds competing has pushed her to be a better crafter in her skill, and a cosplayer in the community for others. When not at con, she can be found educating and performing at renaissance faires, cultural events and providing characters at charity events. Starlit Memory Cosplay doesn’t know what having a free weekend is like, which is why she’s so excited to be able to bring her knowledge to Phoenix Fan Fusion for all of you!
